Our purpose is to achieve better utilization of the human ability and potential in business, industry, government, health care, and education in the greater St. Louis area by:

Encouraging the participation, professional education and development, and affiliation of individuals or groups concerned with specialization areas of activities or interests within the broad field of training and development.

Ensuring the appropriate programs and results are available for the preparation and educational growth of training and development practitioners.

Providing a clearinghouse of information relevant to training and development and conducting liaisons with those organizations potentially capable of promoting the objectives of the St. Louis Metropolitan Chapter.

Encouraging, sponsoring or conducting appropriate research and ensuring the publication of results in the field of training and development.

Promoting an understanding of training and development as a basic responsibility of management.
